AND we sure do appreciate the vote of confidence she has given us and her support of community. Upcoming EventsSaturday, June 18, 2011 we are holding an Outdoor Art Show as a fundraiser for the Prodigy Group Youth Micro Loan Fund. Our Youth Micro Loan Pilot Project begins soon! Address: 670 Ker Avenue, 1pm to 4pm. We will be selling art (ranging from $10 to $700) created by Andy Holmes and Martine Bedard at Art For People. Please bring cash and/or your cheque books to support young people in Greater Victoria by purchasing beautiful art!Food will be provided by Hayley, owner of the 'Nourish Cafe' at Glendale Gardens, a future CML entrepreneur! WE STILL NEED 6-10 Easels and Tarps and Tents (just in case we get some liquid sunshine!) Can you contact us by June 15 if you can lend us these items? This Fund will be used to support Community Micro Lending's entrepreneurs in the form of ongoing staff program time and coordination of our mentorship program. In addition, we now have four in-house loan funds (more on this next month!); the Loan Support and Mentorship Fund will also be used to ensure the long-term sustainability of this community capital. Certainly a sign of success when you can start paying more taxes!Another of our entrepreneurs businesses, Soul Beauty Therapies, has been contracted by two hotels to provide on site spa services.
